Make my new album WITH me!

As a lot of you know i’ve had a nice little slice of success with my music via YouTube, Facebook, iTunes etc etc. And my first album under my little Projected Twin Umbrella has and continues to be a frequent seller in the US and Europe. These things have lead to me being approached by major labels, International tours, features on popular Internet series and lots of general attention. Well, now i’m doing something else a little different. I’m putting the power of the creation of my next album of work ‘Projected Twin: Earth Vs World” into the hands of my fans, friends and supporters. I’ve set up a pledging site with an awesome group called music pledge to allow anyone and everyone the chance to have a piece of the action. Instead of me signing away with a major corporation and seeing NONE of the profits for my labor, I’ve given the people who actually CARE about my music, the ability to make my next album a Financial reality. The site has only been up for 10 minutes and already it’s raised over $100 from people I’ve never met in countries and towns I’ve never been to! You’ve all known me for a long time now and if you’ve been keeping up to date with what i’ve been doing and you want to help give me the opportunity to keep doing what I love and do it well, then please check out my PledgeMusic page and make a contribution. Here comes the BuzZzZz.!
The 2012 Projected Twin US Tour has been announced and now we’re only DAYS away from activating links to ticket sales for the shows in 12 states across America! There be BUZZ-a-Plenty going on too, thanks to all you INCREDIBLE people who have been supporting me and my PT-Baby over the years. There are videos going up like MAD in vlogs, collages, short films, Gamer vids, Art vids and just about EVERYTHING else since the announcement of the tour and I’d just like to say that it is AWESOME! You all sure know how to make a lanky Australian with a dream feel good!
Here’s a cool example of that buzz! This is a young fellow in upstate New York spreading some of that Buzz on his local radio station WBER radio. Thanks bro!

So! Happy New Year and seasons greetings to you all! And hello to all the newcomers! This year has kicked off to a great start! I have a new album in the works. A bunch of new videos and covers in production and planning AND a new audience! Welcome to the KatersOneSeven crowd who have found there way here from hearing my song SharkWater during that SUPER romantic moment between Kate and Cory during her New Year vlog!

So a big thanks to Kate and Cory for letting Sharkwater be the soundtrack to their young love and for giving such a positive meaning to an otherwise depressing song! Haha! Thats the wonderful thing about music. It’s ours to be interpreted however we want. Thanks for all the new comments, subscriptions and downloads! You’ll be seeing and hearing a LOT more from me this 2012 and ive already started and i’m hard at work on new and great stuff!

Well! Aren’t I lucky to be me? Some very talented and dedicated fan has put together a YouTube channel for me. They’re going to be putting up a bunch of fan videos and are encouraging others to forward new or old fan covers/tributes and things of that nature to the channel, so that they can all be united under one URL.

Over the last few months the number of music sales for my album has grown a GIANT amount and on a regular basis. Some of you may have known that for one full year since it’s release, Earth To World was a free download. Eventually it was being downloaded so much that it was costing me too much money in bandwidth expansion to keep giving it out. I was worried that when I took that freedom away to new listeners that it would be the end of my music sharing experience. I was wrong! I can not thank you all enough for your endless support of my music and my message. To all of you that have used my music in your videos, to all of you that have shared it with your friends, posted it on your walls and blasted it in your cars. Thank You. You guys are literally keeping this going. You’re putting new strings on my guitars, new skins on my abused drum-shells and petrol in my empty fuel tanks. You are all a dream come true and I can not wait to return the favor with new, exciting and honest music.

To my surprise this morning, I came across a feature on the Oh The Drama music video that I filmed and produced earlier this year ( well actually, they posted it on the PT Facebook Page). It has been featured on a cool little website called MusicThirst. I was really stoked to have been featured on their site, I had a quick poke around and the feature anything from the major labels right down to the independent stuff that’s getting good buzz!

I’ve put a lot of time and thought into reinventing this space to make sure that it feels like much more of a home for Projected Twin than ANY other place on this World Wide Web. The official website has been around for a few years now but it only really existed as a glorified business card. NO MORE!!! The idea (in my mind) of having a website at all should reeaally be about having one place where everything ‘Projected Twin’ comes together. So I can now safely assure you that if anything new happens in one of the MANY places around the net that you can find Projected Twin content, you will hear about it HERE first!

The Projected Twin community has been a buzz with new viewers/listeners/Subscribers thanks to everyone’s favorite youtuber Cory Williams (smpfilms).
Around a month ago Cory started a new daily vlog channel DudeLikeHELLA. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to put together the theme song for the rapidly popular series.
Check out Cory’s latest adventure for a glimpse of my first attempt at a Rock Anthem Jingle!
