This Can Not Mend (Original)

Lyrics:

I’m on my way
Yes I’m on my way
If you leave it to us, We’ll say we’re on our way.

Can we have more time?
Couldn’t we please just have more time?
If you left it to us, We’d just ask for more time.

Cause I’m on my way
Yes it’s on it’s way

You can wait for tomorrow
But it’ll never come
We wont stand on our feet again
And we’re too short on time
Of time.

Cause I’m on my way
But it’s on its way.

I’m on my way
Couldn’t we please just have more time
If you left it to us
We’d just ask for more time
But i’m on my way
We’ve wasted all time.

Sharkwater (Acoustic, Original)

This one was recorded in the staircase of my apartment while I was living in Dubai. I was playing a residency at the Hard Rock Cafe at the time. This was actually the very first song written for Earth To World. This video was pretty much filmed directly after I’d written the song. It’s got different lyrics, a different melody and a different aesthetic to the final version that eventuated on the album. I actually ended up performing this one a few times with the resident Hard Rock band a few times. It was writing this song that made me decide it was time to go home and make my own music and make something of myself. I owe everything that has happened to me musically at this point, to this song! To be honest. I just like singing in this stairwell!

I’ll Fall For Anything (Acoustic, Original)

Filmed by Cory Williams on Tarantella Hill. You can hear wind, it’s unbalanced, but it looks great and it’s real. I was in LA shooting a music video with Cory for We Know It’s True. The video starred Jackass’ Steve-O and Cyr1216′s Ryan Cyr. It never got finished for a number of reasons. It would have been a sweet video. Who knows, maybe it will be completed someday. Anyway… This video was the first musical glimpse the broader YouTube audience got of me after some heavy promotion from Mr. Safety himself.

The Signature (Original)

Believe it or not, I wrote this song when I was 18. Like any artist, there would be plenty of earlier works that end up being forgotten or let go, because every time you grow and mature as a creator, you become more and more distant from your less evolved creations. This song will always be important to me and Projected Twin because, it was the first song I wrote that was rejected by the band I was in at the time. The band I was in at the time was a three piece that I did about 90% of the writing for. I did a rough demo for the track and I was really excited about making this song a reality! One of my band mates just didn’t like it and it was wound up in band politics  and trashed! It was the first time I thought to myself: Why do I need someone’s approval to write a song? And so this became the first stone cemented in my journey towards Projected Twin

Redemption Away (Original)

I frequently get comments about this song. And while they are all really REALLY positive comments. Most people say that this song is too short! Originally I did have a 2nd verse for this song, but keeping in mind that I knew this would be the middle song for the album Earth To World, I really felt that it had done all it was going to need to do. So after fiddling around with the rest of the song, I eventually just cut it down to a verse, a chorus and then a goodbye!

Available on the debut album Earth To World

We Know It’s True (Acoustic)

This was the first song that I wrote during the Earth To World process. The original version was one of those rare occurrences where I was watching TV and this complete song just  c a m e  to me. I’m really happy with where the album version ended up, but it wrote itself so quickly that I didn’t really get an opportunity to shine a few different lights onto it. So even though this video is the Acoustic version. It’s not a direct translation and a slight departure to new territory for some of the more lucious  environments the song could have gone.

Take Me To Your Leader

Get The MP3!

lyrics:

I see you off in the distance.
Standing there next to her shadow.
It takes me all my resistance,
to not conceal what follows
Somewhere far from where we are
You’ll show me what she’s made of.

Take me to your leader
”cause I’ve got things to show her
There is no proof alluding to your claims to be
one of our leaders

Drifting hearts full of thunder
Disguising themselves in her shadow
The cities mind burns like embers
Somewhere I know that’s hollow
Somewhere far from who we are
She’s pleasured by the fear in us.

Take me to your leader
I’ve got things to show her
There is no proof alluding to the change
are you one of our leaders?
Well I’m not a believer!

Take me to your leader
well I’ve got things to show her
There is no proof alluding to the change
if you’re one of our leaders.

Oh! The Drama (Official Music Video)

Filmed, Directed and Edited by Shaun Holton.

Starring: Tosh Comley Holton, Antanika Holton

Synopsis: At first glance, this video just appears to be a ‘day in the life’ of a young boy who is forced to take care of himself. However the stranger darker imagery is there to give you idea that some children are better off while they aren’t at home. When he is home, everything is dark, lonely and soulless. Then the further he ventures from home, the brighter, happier, more social his environment becomes. This idea is a parallel to the idea that we can believe everyone has the same safe home as the rest of us.
